• Information & Referral - Over 1,000 inquiries are answered by phone and mail each year. Referrals are made to Chamber members only.
• Welcome Service/New Residents Packets - The Chamber serves as a welcome center for visitors and new residents to our area. Welcome Packets include the North Mobile Business Directory, member's brochures, novelties and promotional items from local Chamber members.
• Welcome Center/Visitor Information - Members are encouraged to place business cards, brochures or other promotional items in the lobby of the new Welcome Center and Chamber office.
• Web Site Listing - Each member of the Chamber receives a free listing in the Member Directory section of the Chamber's web site.
• North Mobile Business Directory - This updated publication includes a Chamber Member Directory and a directory of all area businesses. A very useful tool for newcomers wanting to do business with Chamber members.
  
• Annual Christmas Ad - An additional way the Chamber promotes its members is to place an ad each December, in an area newspaper, which provides a directory listing of members.
  

Business Member Employee Benefits

The Chamber is pleased to offer health care plans to its members looking for an economical solution to their employee health care needs. These new small business plans are being offered to member firms with 50 employees or less through various insurance companies. The Chamber's website which is part of the City of Saraland's website, will provide member's with a free listing in the Member Directory. In the near future, we will announce ways that member's can further utilize the website.

Small Business Library

As a benefit of membership, the Chamber has available a business library which includes books, pamphlets, audio tapes and videos on various topics, such as starting your own business, incorporating a business, selling techniques, tips on small business success, business law and business loan information.

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

New businesses that join the Chamber are assisted by Chamber staff and volunteers to promote the opening of the business. Chamber staff will promote the event in the monthly newsletter, on the website on the Calendar of Events, and will contact area media to provide coverage. Existing members wanting to promote new office locations or expansions are encouraged to have a Reopening/Ribbon Cutting to promote their growth. The Diplomat Team will also assist Chamber staff by participating.

In an effort to promote the Saraland area, the Chamber either hosts or participates in many civic events such as the Annual Mayor/Clergy Forum, Public Safety Officer of the Quarter/Year Awards, Meet the Candidates Forum, the Saraland Harvest Festival, and new for 1999, the Small Business of the Year Award.

The Chamber offers small business seminars, New Member Orientation and Morning Marketing to name just a few of the value-added benefits of Chamber membership.
